Timing belt loose.. bad tensioner?.....car turns over but doesnt start?

i have a 94 honda civic its standard. and while slowing down at a stop sign the car just stalled completely..so i tried to restart it and it just turned over but it didnt start...i got it towed home and took off the valve cover to check the timing belt
even if the belt just jumped a couple of teeth, it could produce such symtoms
not sure if civic is an interference engine, but if it is, the timing belt might have caused more costly damage
