What size windshield would be best for my 1800VTX Honda motor cycle, size and make?

Want a windshield and never had one. Its not like you get to try these things out to decide. Would rather have one I see over, rather then to be looking through it all the time. Will I get the wind and bug deflection with the lower windshield?

Last question first, Yes. I went cross country with a National Cycle Street Shield -- all 17 inches of it. Top was about even with my nostrils. Wind hit me at the hair line, what little there is.
